Mindblowing 📽 : How Big is the Universe?

Did you know:

  • that the light from the Sun takes 8 minutes to reach earth? Looking in it's direction we are, essentially, looking back in time.

  • The visible universe contains around 100 billion galaxies? (Each one of these contains around 100 billion stars.)

But how big would it be in relation to a grain of sand?


This is a fascinating clip from The Guardian [6:43]. It will leave you with a sense of perspective ... and wonder. The tools and methods of science give us knowledge. Religion fundamentally parades ignorance as a virtue.
